Compassionate and creative individual counselling based in Wolverhampton

Supporting children and teens
with a range of issues including anxiety, ADHD, autism, grief, school stress and emotional wellbeing

At Little Lighthouse Counselling, we provide a warm, safe and welcoming space where children and young people can feel heard, understood and valued.

Growing up can sometimes feel difficult, and children may experience worries, big emotions or challenges that they don’t always know how to manage on their own. We support children and young people with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, low confidence, worries about school or exams, difficult experiences, changes at home, friendships and many other challenges.

We believe that every child is different, which is why we take the time to get to know each young person and understand what they need. Our support is personalised, flexible and led by the child, using approaches and activities that are appropriate for their age, personality and individual circumstances.

We may use talking, creative activities, practical tools and other ways of helping children make sense of their thoughts and feelings. Most importantly, we create a space where children can be themselves, talk openly and develop the confidence and skills they need to move forward.

We understand that reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step for parents and children. That’s why we’ve made the process as simple and straightforward as possible, with just three easy steps to getting started.

Following your initial consultation, we are often able to begin counselling within 2–4 weeks.*

*During busier periods, waiting times may be slightly longer. We will always give you a clear idea of the expected waiting time during your initial consultation, so you know what to expect.
